Now Booking for 2018?!

Now Booking for 2018?!

Short Version:

Acupuncture school is expensive. Life is expensive. If you would like to do so, you can support me moving forward through board exams, licensure, and clinic set-up.

Ways to show support:

  • Donate directly to me via the buttons at the bottom of this page! Any donation of $25 or more in this manner will has the option to receive an acupuncture treatment after I am licensed (see more below).
  • Come to one of my classes!  Please see the events page.
  • Sign up for another one of my offerings! These are all sliding scales.
  • Become a patron through Patreon!
  • In Columbus? Tell your workplace that you'd like to see one of my meditation classes as part of the wellness offerings!
  • Send me the good vibes!

Any and all support is so very much appreciated.

Long Version:

An acupuncture degree is not inexpensive. It is a long, 27 month, rigorous undertaking. It is next to impossible to work a full-time job during that time. I have worked multiple jobs since starting school to make ends meet (on top of student loans) and I still had no idea what was to come at the end of this school journey.

Due to some extenuating circumstances my plan after school did not work out. I had expected to be approved for boards, almost done (if not completely finished) and ready for licensure and full-time acupuncture work. Because of some paperwork mishaps (yup, that simple: paperwork mishaps), my journey to board exams and thus working as an acupuncturist has been delayed. Due to some personal medical reasons (some related to my history of concussions), my return to full-time work (while still trying to juggle full-time studying for board exams) has also been delayed.

Wow. That didn't work out as planned. I know life rarely does, but I was pretty taken aback by how gloriously that all went a little sideways.

I know that crowdfunding is practically the new way to do anything in America from funding surgeries to starting businesses. We could have a whole conversation on that, but please know that it is with humility and gratitude that I turn to you for assistance. All donations will not only help me get through the next couple of months, but anything extra will be put toward securing a space and supplies for my acupuncture work. Many of you know how very passionate I am about making this medicine available to as many people as possible and in assisting me now, you are helping make that goal happen too.

There are a lot of ways to support (see above), but here’s the main deal: If you donate $25 or more, I will put you on a list to be seen free of other charge after I am licensed. Some of the details will be determined as we get closer. You are essentially just booking an appointment for when I'm licensed, but paying upfront so that I can attend to costs until then. An appointment is optional, of course (or can be meditation/yoga/reiki/etc instead of acupuncture). This is just my way of saying thank you for your support and to help show you the good that your donation did. Any amount is appreciated (even a couple quarters! those things get the laundry done!).

If you want to help out financially, please see the buttons at the bottom of this page. It should be noted that I am not collecting funds through a fundraising website due to their administrative fees. In other words, I am trying my best to maximize the effectiveness of any money received and not give part of it to a middle man.

I appreciate the time you spent reading this. Your support in any way through this whole process (even just the good wishes and nice words) has meant the world to me. I couldn’t have made it this far without you.

Note: If you are donating toward an appointment, please make sure to include your full name and email address in the notes, as well as noting your interest in an appointment. If you have any trouble, please email me through the mail icon in the navigation bar. These appointments are subject to scheduling, but we'll make it work.
