Have trouble sitting in meditation, but want to experience the benefits? Do you already have a sitting practice, but want to engage in new ways? Maybe you're already familiar with walking meditation, but would like to enjoy being with a group.
Walking meditation is great for people who may struggle with strictly seated practices, but it's also great for established sitters also. It's one of my favorite practices and I have found it beneficial in a variety of ways, including experiencing that meditative state off the cushion. If you're like me, you want to find that sort of space throughout the day and the act of walking meditation helps us work toward that end.
On May 17th, join me at Highbanks Park and experience walking meditation in nature, with the beautiful trees, birds, and the cool breeze.
We will meet at the observation deck behind the Nature Center on Dripping Rock Trail. This class is weather permitting and you'll get an update if anything changes. Please wear comfortable clothes and plan to be out for about an hour. This is a sliding-scale class and pre-registration is required. If this class feels outside of your current means, but you would like to participate, please contact me. No one is turned away from my classes for lack of funds.
